Before making any construction we need to grade the ungraded or natural ground for proper drainage of surface runoff. Site may need to grade depending upon process requirement. Site grading is normally done to balance earthwork so that cutting and filling remains equal within a project battery limit. But site grading varies from plant to plant, location to location. Every site grading philosophy is unique in nature and one of the most challenging jobs for any Civil Engineer.
